Graham Watts



Graham Watts is the co-author of “Developing Habits of Mind”, “Personal, Learning and Thinking Skills”  & “The A* Toolkit” and has become a thought-leader in British and International Education. He has a track record as an outstanding teacher and leader in a diverse range of schools. From the highest achieving school in New Zealand to being part of the team to turn around one of England’s lowest achieving secondary schools, Graham has successfully led change, pushed boundaries and improved learning outcomes.

From June 2010, he worked with the American actress Goldie Hawn to set up her educational charity in the UK that teaches mindfulness, focus, calm and happiness to children; later becoming Global Director of Education and Training for the Hawn Foundation. In 2015, Graham began working freelance leading professional learning keynotes and workshops with schools across the UK, US, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand and over 20 other countries. Graham gives  keynotes at international conferences and was a featured speakers at the UK Festival of Education in June 2019.

His expertise spans Habits of Mind, Thinking Skills, Mindfulness and Wellbeing and Character Education. Graham works as a consultant for the Association of International Schools in Africa as well as leading professional learning in schools. Graham is currently completing his Doctorate at world’s No 1 university for education, University College London Institute of Education.
